History

History

After finishing their investment banking jobs in New York City, life-long friends Nate Abbott and Natty Zola decided to take a year off and travel around the world. Along the way, they were frustrated by the complexity of sharing their experiences with friends who might have wanted to check out their pictures or even meet up if they happened to be in the same spot. So, when they came home they decided to start a travel journal company.

Luckily for Nate and Natty, home happens to be Boulder, Colorado, where the tech start-up scene was beginning to really heat up when they returned. After teaching themselves how to program in leveraging their business backgrounds in New York, they were accepted into the prestigious TechStars program, which provided great support and mentorship as they created their company, Everlater (a name that Natty came up with, an anagram of e-Traveler).

After a successful launch, the business got started in an office downtown where they shared space with several other TechStars graduates. Their new adventure had begun…

Team Bios

Nate Abbott

Nate Abbott is almost impossibly optimistic. He manages back-end development and enterprise partnership strategies. After a brutal 2 year deployment at JP Morgan Chase in Manhattan, Nate has returned to the values he was raised on: friends, family and the outdoors. When he’s not working late into the night at Everlater, he enjoys barbeques on the back porch, bike rides up big hills, good music, and of course traveling.

Natty Zola

Natty Zola is, if possible, even more optimistic than his co-founder Nate. His similarly intense 2 year service at GE did nothing to dampen his enthusiasm for business and he currently manages enterprise partnership relationships and front-facing site design. Natty could beat Nate up the big hills on the bike every time, but that’s not really what it’s about anyway – it’s about having fun along the way in their matching Everlater jerseys.

Ryan Wanger

Ryan Wanger was a video game tester for awhile, and then a professional poker player. Now he is a programmer and the community manager at Everlater, where he is responsible for support, website design, and email campaigns. Ryan hones his programming skills by leaping over buildings with friends in his parkour classes.

Tony Richards

Instead of going to college, Tony Richards forecasted weather in Japan for the US Air Force for two years. He uses those forecasting skills to predict user interaction and thus, now builds amazing websites. When he’s not programming, or even when he is, he enjoys listening to interesting music on his super sweet headphones and drinking good beer.
