We took a bus from Macau to the Chinese border. After less than 15 minutes we are already at the border and we have to get off the bus and proceed with the customs formalities then we have to wait about 1 hour for the next bus to Guangzhou. We directly go to the train station and try to book a night train to Xian. Unfortunately, they do not accept credit card payments and we have no cash and cannot find any ATM working. Is China the Asian Zimbabwe? After something like 2 hours searching for an ATM, we remember we saw one at the bus terminus where we arrived so we take the metro back to there, withdraw some cash and go back to the station to buy our tickets. That' s not easy at all to make a reservation when you don't speak the language. But in the end we manage to make the reservation, we have our tickets, we know when the train is leaving and where it is leaving from but we have no idea of how long it will take or if we will be served some food on board...

Yeah, you heard me well, most hotels offer shuttle services from the harbour, city center, etc... to attract customers and make them spend some money in their casinos. So, don't be shy, just get on the bus!!! No one asks you any proof of stay, nor are you obliged to spend any money after... You even get discount vouchers if you wanna try their Casino.

You have the option between regular rooms, and ''Business Rooms'' 20 Eur more expensive. We chose the regular one and paid 30Eur. Matress kinda hard, pillow not hard enough... but that's part of the adventure!

Well, actually we didn't play! Went to a couple to visit them, they're so luxurious! They also have some games we just didn't understand... Charles wanted to play Poker, but unfortunately for him, only high stakes table were available, and a lot of people were on the waiting list for the low stake tables, so he just gave up his idea.

We arrive in Macau in the evening and go for a small walk in our hotel neighbourhood. We find it quite charming, with typical portuguese architecture and loads of fish restaurants exposing "interspacial lobsters". The next morning we take our map and visit the historical buildings of the city centre. After this cultural activity we take a shuttle heading to the "City of Dreams", basically this is an association of 3 hotels around a big Casino. In the evening, we go to the Macau Tower because we were interessted in doing the bungy jump from up there but it costed like twice the price we paid in South Africa and for, we think, less sensations because there are 2 cables slowing down your fall. Instead we go to the food party just in front the tower and spend the whole evening there eating and drinking unusual stuff.
