From Las Vegas, we need to go to San Diego and cross the Mexican border but we decide to use a roundabout way in order to drive a few kilometers on the legendary Road 66. We enter it in Barstow and then we have to drive off road, on sand, bumps and holes to return on the highway. Back on the bitume, we spot a restaurant we used to go to during our trip of Florida. We cannot resist the temptation and eat at the ‘’Olive Garden’’. We need time to digest after such a huge meal so we drive to the coast and spend the night in a surf town called Del Mar. In the morning, we go for a short walk on the beach and then step in the car and head to San Diego. We visit the city centre and then return the car at the Airport.
