On our road to Gansbai, we stopped at Hermanus, a place famous for whale watching... indeed we saw a couple but nothing in comparison to Cape Town.
Arriving into Gansbai, you'll notice the info center right away, there you can book your Shark Dive, but it's cheaper if you find it on your own or, like we discovered at the Gansbai backpackers, to get the full package, Shark Dive + Hostel, which is way cheaper.
We went to Tolbos, a bar where we had our rdv on the following day. Charles tried the local beer, and Adeline the local cheese cake! ; D

Interresting but the view is better from the boat than in the water. Don't forget to take your motionsick pills, and we mean it!

Woke up at 6h00. It ''S Day'' !
Went to Tolbos, breakfast and briefing, then we went to the pier. 1h to reach the Shark Spot. 1/5 of the boat is sea sick, we're among them.
5 minutes only and the first White Shark is already chewing the bait!!!
Everybody gets geared up to go into the cage. Water is chilly but we have full body wetsuits. Adeline and Charles get to see Sharks 5cm from them!!! But best option to get the full image is on the top deck of the boat, because these White Sharks are like 6m long!!
After this, we head to the Seal island, there are thousands of them, and smell isn't of fresh flowers!
When finished we went back to the restaurant, saw the video of the day, saw that we had like 7 different White Sharks today, had a lunch and the we got back in the car, going to Mossel Bay!

It's cheaper to book the shark diving activity via a backpacker. You will then have the accommodation and activity at a more affordable price.
