We arrive in Hong Kong in the early morning, that's a good thing, it will give us some time to find a hotel for the night. We directly go to the tourist info centre at the airport and ask where we can find a cheap accommodation. The answer is Kowloon, the city centre. After some 45 minutes of bus, here we are, in the middle of Hong Kong looking for a place to stay for the night. Every 15 meters we are stopped by someone who wants to offer us a cheap hotel night. We follow those persons 3 or 4 times through narrow corridors and in elevators where we do not even fit with our bags. They make us go up and down the 5th, 10th, 15th floor of a insalubre building to show us a tiny dirty "room" with children beds and no window. Each one of them assures us that his hotel is different than the other ones, that their rooms are huge but in fact it's always the same. So as we start to be already fed up of looking we decide to offer ourselves a night in a decent hotel and we will look for a cheaper hotel for tomorrow on the internet.
Our first impression of Hong Kong is not great, we think it's crowded and everything is expensive and dirty.
But at least we find a Sony Centre where we can leave both our camera and video camera for reparation.

Show is free and you can watch it from Tsim Sha Tsui, near the clock. It's ok and entertaining but not exceptional.

Expensive!!! We couldn't get cheaper than 160 Eur. We were tired of carrying our heavy bags up and down the city, just finding crapy places. So we got this room, and went to the pool to chill ; D

Same as the english Oyster Card. You put some credit on it, and it allows you to get on public transport, buy food and drinks in McDonald's, Seven Eleven, etc... When you return it, you get back the credit left on it + your deposit.

Metro in Hon Kong is the best way to move around. Clear, clean, and covers most places you need to go.

You can have a walk on the Avenue of Stars... If you wanna kill some time, go to this place, it's a nice walk... Otherwise just skip it!
