Once in La Paz, we go to the info centre and they explain us what we have to see in the city (nothing really). They also recommend us a cheap hotel so we go there and book 2 nights. We walk along the beach, visit La Paz city centre, … but it’s so hot, it turns us lazy. We buy the ferry tickets to Mazatlan and exchange some US dollars at a very good rate then we mix with locals in a bar watching a free fight tournament. While we were waiting for the bus to the ferry terminal, we realized we didn’t have the ferry tickets. We go back to the hotel to try to find them, check all our pockets,… but can’t find them,. Charles remembers putting them on the bed but they are not there anymore, seems someone stole them. We go to the ferry terminal and there we dicuss with people at the reception to see if they can let us in without the tickets because anyway our names are registered in their system. But they say no, we have to buy new tickets, it’s the company’s politic, great ! We decide to make the most of this ferry cruise we paid twice and visit the whole boat. It’s huge ! It has hotel rooms, seats, a bar, some shops, a disco, a swimming pool, a game room, a restaurant,.. We treat ourselves with a very good cocktail at the bar and then go to the restaurant for the meal inculded in the price of the ticket. Once at the restaurant, we realize it’s written in small letters that the dinner is only from 4 to 7 on Sunday (unlike 7 to 10 all other days of the week) and lucky as we are, it’s Sunday 7 :30 ! Hopefully, we explain the staff we already had to pay the ticket twice, have no money and are starving and they allow us to eat for free. After dinner we go in the movie room, watch a film and then sleep each one on 4 seats.
