On our way to Matamata, we stop in a cafe we noticed when we arrived and have a second breakfast. We then go to Auckland, cook some food in a backpacker and use the internet in order to book 2 rugby match tickets for tonight’s game in Eden Park. We go there quite early and that’s a good thing because it’s not easy to find a parking space. We get ready for the night by drinking a glass of wine and eating some quesadillas and then we go to the game. We have very good places just at the front. What an experience to see at rugby match in this famous stadium. You can hear people screaming and cursing and both of us could admire nice bodies (pom pom girls for Charles and rugby players for Adeline). The team we were supporting lost but who cares ? We just enjoyed. After the match and as we don’t want to spend the night in a big city, we drive to Matamata. It’s a very nice and quiet little town, it’s almost a pity they shot the movie ‘’The Lord of the Rings’’ there. Anyway, we remain tourists so we take some pictures of the info centre redecorated as a hobbit house and then we drive in the countryside looking for Hobbiton. Unfortunately, we can’t see it from the streets and it’s very expensive to visit so we just give up and drive further.
