We woke up at 6h00, left the camp at 7h45, heading to Swakopmund.

We stopped twice on our way to buy some food and strectch our legs. Once in Outjo, and once in Omaruru. In Omaruru we found the most luxurious Spar we could ever find!

We made it to Swakopmund, crossing the desert almost running out of GAS! We stopped to fill the tank as soon as possible, and guess what: it's freezing outside!! unbelievable!

We went to the beach, and weather and smell was very similar to Oostende ; D - But with bigger waves!

We go to Walvis bay, the next town, which seems less touristic.

Was a good choice, very quiet, nice lagoon, with flamingos around, best spot ever to Kite Surf, but with some petrol platforms to ruin a bit the landscape.

Our B&B was nice, cheap, and we had a fully equiped dorm just for the two of us. Owners are very friendly.

At night, we decided we deserved a special treat and went to the restaurant ''The Raft''.
It is situated on the lagoon. Food was absolutely delicious! Sword fish brochette for Adeline, and I got myself a Kingpil. Quantities are huges and price is Ok.

Loads of activities: quad, sand boarding, walk on the top of the dune...

When we woke up, we took our Breakfast and talked with Charles and Johanna, a South African couple from Cape Town we met yesterday.

We took a picture together then we left Walvis Bay.

We heard so many times people talking about Dune 7 that we had to go and see it!

In fact, we wanted to Sand Board it, then, when we discovered we had to book it upfront, we simply were a bit dissapointed, so we didn't event want to rent the Quads, and only went for a walk and climb it.

At least it's good exercise and it's for free!

Don't forget to go to Swakopmund for a lot of actvities but a bit too touristic for us and Walvis bay is way more beautiful.

It's good to finally get some fresh air. Here the desert falls into the sea.

We got a whole dorm including kitchen facilities all for ourselves. The hostel is not in the center of Walvis bay but that's maybe better. Very close to the nice lagoon.

It's better to book activities one day before.
