So I'm here meeting up with a friend. Random, and wonderful to do that while traveling.

I'm hanging out with a group at nights in the *swank* San Want Hotel. During the days I'm heading around town.

First thought: why are there so many people crying?

Second thought: why are there so many crying people being absolute dicks to me?

Third thought: why is Starbucks selling a 'Curry Chicken Canoli'

Fourth thought: that third thought was very random.

Fifth thought: this is what happens when there is a culture based on overcrowding.

Sixth thought: oh well, sips coffee.

Pricy, but top notch.

The most amazing shower I've had in months. Amazing staff.

Why does it seem everyone is about to cry, if not currently crying? Very sad faces everywhere.

So I went as a fun day trip, had an experience.

It, as in most things in Taipei, is overcrowded. Very tight quarters. It had some amazing old books. 1200 year old books. Then a lot of very intricate jade stones.

Lots of bumping. Lots of tour guides. Lots of random.

The best part had to be the really nice folks with 'please be quiet' and 'don't take photos' signs. They would stand in front of the photographer or loudmouth and look at them.

Passive agressive at its finest.
