Today I made a quick stop in Portland after getting off the Amtrak train from Seattle. I've been to Portland 3 times before and wanted to hit a few highlights before I flew back to New York.
I started with a visit to Voodoo Doughnut, an infamous doughnut shop in Portland with a huge variety of strange and quirky doughnut - there is even a maple doughnut topped with *bacon*.
After having a few doughnuts there it began to rain so I decided to grab a quick dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery, one of many microbreweries here with great food as well. I had a sampler of all their beers and a seafood salad.
Unfortunately the rain persisted so I decided to just head to the airport to catch my red-eye to New York, but I made a quick stop in Pioneer Square first.

The doughnuts really aren't that tasty persay, but they sure are weird and original. Try the Voodoo Doll Doughnut, or if you're really feeling daring, the Maple Bacon Doughnut.
