Creepy Flintstones campground and diner. This place was a dump.
First view of the canyon at Yavapai point.
Behold, the canyon in all it's grandeur.
Grand Canyon, South Rim.
Excellent carvings from the Colorado river and it's tributaries.
Sunset on the first night.
Sunsetting.
Sunset from Hopi point.
Sunrise from Mather Point.
Sunrise Mather Point.
Sunrise Mather Point.
Sunrise casting shadows.
Hiking down south Kaibab trail.
The bottom of the switchbacks on south kaibab trail. It was a 1400 foot drop in elevation.
Volunteer park ranger Daniel swearing me in as a junior ranger (the oldest one he's ever seen) after spending the day attending a ranger led geological talk and a junior ranger activity booklet. I rule!
Pima Point with a great view of the Colorado cutting through.
This was the spot for sunset on day 2.
Bye bye sun.
Bye bye canyon.
There's no better idea than to make grilled ham and cheese on a camp stove after a long night of sunset viewing and stargazing. Enjoying it around a camp fire with the rest of the group while we played an ambiguous self driven game called sexual fantasy...even better.
Waking up to the musical stylings of flight of the concords is a little scarey because of how trippy the music is.
