Woke up in the WalMart parking lot...oh boy! We were thankful that nothing was broken into...we had strange neighbors to say the least. Neither one of us slept well.
After doing a little shopping, we took off. We had breakfast at Pattie's Egg Nest... Billed as "Seattle's Best Breakfast". This doesn't say much about Seattle. :( Wouldn't recommend it, although the coffee was good.
We had a pretty non-eventful day of driving. Going into Canada was fun. I couldn't find our passport cards where Don told me to look... I almost panicked... but Don found them. PTL! Then the border guy told us to park and go inside. I thought for sure they were going to search the trailer. They just wanted to ask us more questions...shouldn't going into Canada be easy? I guess we looked threatening or something.
We did a short day of driving. We stopped in Hope, BC and got a campsite at Hope Valley Campground. The campsites had the feel of being in Big Sur...lots of trees. It was very quiet and peaceful (very different from last night). The bathrooms (with showers) were very clean. It was a great place to stay.
The little town of Hope was very quaint. There are chainsaw sculptures done by local artists all over the town. We should of gotten pictures of them... Duh!
We enjoyed dinner at a local Greek restaurant called Papandres.
