As we have been driving through BC, we have observed a few things.
There are no mailboxes along the roads in front of houses. Do they deliver mail at all?
They seem to be adverse to street signs. Since those who live there know the streets, who needs signs?
No one drives the speed limits except the tourists. We have yet to see any form of traffic cop at all this entire trip through BC. Which, actually is very nice.
This province of Canada seems very laid back.

Our goal this morning was to get into Prince George, find a coffee place with wi-fi . Simple, right? Once in PG we locate the nearest visitor's center... Alas, we are too early. But we are in luck, here comes a guy who wants to ask us about our Casita. We ask him and find out his favorite coffee place... Good coffee and wi-fi...perfect. We plug the name of the place into the gps and off we go, right downtown. Are we going to be able to find parking? Not without a lot of stress! I end up letting Don park the rig...I was not doing so well in the tight circumstances. That completed, we head into the coffee shop with computers in hand and relief on our faces. Unfortunetly the friendly guy at the visitor's center was wrong, they don't have wi-fi and the young lady helping us knew of no place that did. Bummer. We stayed and had sub-par cappuccinos and enjoyed their whole grain peach ginger muffins! Then in walks our new friend and he is sorry they don't have Internet service and we talk for a while longer. We think he was lonely because he talked and talked and talked. "Nice to meet ya, thanks for the help, we got to go", and we are out of there. We walked a couple of blocks away to another place we had seen on the way to see if maybe they had wi-fi, and they did!!! Don had used all his Canadian money so he got a cup of coffee with the credit card and we sat down and had some computin' time.
Back in the car heading for Smithers. It is a beautiful day with big white clouds spotted across the sky. We are driving through green, hilly, very pretty country. We are seeing more of the dead lodgepole pines all along the way...it is sad. The mountains that jet up from the valley floor are huge, ragged and still have a lot of snow on them. Beautiful!
We rolled into Smithers and stopped at their Visitor's Center right before they closed for the day. We thought maybe they would help us with finding a campground for the night...we were right. The young man who helped us was very talkative and gave us way more info about the area than we could remember. He talked and talked and talked. He also gave us the code for hooking into their wi-fi...Yes!! And a lead on a great hike! Very helpful young man.
Tyhee Lake Provincial Campground was back the way we had come but easy to find once we knew where to go. We have found that these provinicial campgrounds are very nice places to stay. Other than the loons calling across the lake, the place was very quiet and we slept great!
Shot joyfully to God, all the earth; sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious. Say to God, " How awesome are thy works!!! Psalm 66:1-3
