Awoke at Umvuvo Camp in the Ocavango Delta after a good nights sleep. Breakfast was at 8am then we were back in the makoros for the last time for a brief trip back to meet up with the truck. We unloaded and reloaded all the gear from the makoros to the truck and said farewell to our guide, Killer, then hit the road again back across the border to Namibia and towards Rainbow Camp, Divundu. There was very heavy rain and the water levels in the Delta had risen quite a bit even in the space of 48 hours. As we waited for the river ferry with the truck it was sureal to see floating islands of mud and reeds heading down stream in the current. We actually ended up stuck at the river ferry crossing for some 3 hours but still made it to Rainbow Camp in daylight around 4.30pm. The camp site was super crowded this time around. We had a very late lunch, watched the sunset then I took a shower and had a shave. Later enjoyed a few beers and games of pool with Steve, Harry and Ben - the Ashes series of pool went easily to the Aussies as expected.
