Phoenix, Arizona

Today the good folks at <a href="www.gowesty.com">GoWesty</a> got everything buttoned up and after a few pictures and many well wishes they turned over the keys and turned us out onto the road. Looking back at how disappointed we were two weeks ago, it was amazing how quickly they were able to accommodate us and get us under way. Everyone we dealt with: Nate, Chris, Taylor, Lucas Jr., and Randal, all made the experience wonderful. As we pulled out and started to stretch ‘la ultra mujer’s’ legs, we quickly found that she ran smooth, quiet, and even had some extra pedal left to pass people. It’s quite an upgrade from our old tired engine.

We put in a full day of driving and eventually made our way to my college roommate’s house in Phoenix. After a quick bite and a few drinks with Mark, we popped the top to the van on the street and fell asleep with thoughts of what lay ahead tomorrow on our minds.
