Frequently Asked Questions

I have a Facebook account, why should I use it to login to my Everlater?

It's just a shortcut that will allow you to log into Everlater using your Facebook credentials (that's one less username and password to remember). Thousands of other sites are doing this, and it's totally secure (we won't actually be storing your username and password).

Will Everlater spam my Facebook friends?

This is a big misconception about granting Everlater access to your Facebook profile. Everlater cannot post anything to Facebook without your consent. We display your Facebook profile pic, and show you which friends are using Everlater, and that's it. Nothing else happens unless you say so.

I don't want to use my Facebook profile pic, can I change it?

Yes, go to your "Me" page, you'll see a link to change your photo. You can upload a new pic which will display throughout the site (this won't change your pic back on Facebook.com)

I don't want strangers reading about my trip, can I make it private?

Yes. Just select "Private" when creating your trip and enter a password. No one will be able to access your trip without the password.

How do I share my trip if I want to?

Each trip (and each location within a trip) has its own url which you can pass along as you see fit. We make it even easier by giving you some easy sharing options:

- Facebook: whenever you want, choose to post a link to your Everlater trip directly to your Facebook Wall
- Twitter: tweet out the link to your trip
- Email Subscriptions: have your friends sign up to get email updates of your trip. Each day that you add new content, an email digest of all your photos, stories, etc will be sent to each of your subscribers.

Can people comment on my trip?

Yes. On your trip overview page, there is a place to comment on the trip as a whole. You can also comment on any piece of content by clicking the 'new' button in the comments area to the right of any photo or story. We'll send you an email when someone comments to let you know.

What if I already have a blog?

You can embed a widget of your trip into your blog with our blog widget. The widget is an interactive map of your trip & a few of the most recent photos.

What if I use photo sharing sites like Flickr or Picasa? Or video sites like YouTube and Vimeo?

We have direct integration with all four of these sites. Pull your photos directly into your travel blog from either Flickr or Picasa and easily add your videos from YouTube and Vimeo. It just takes one click.

Does Everlater have an iPhone App or other mobile solutions?

Yes! Everlater has a free iPhone app. You can learn more on our travel iPhone app page. We've engineered it to work offline so you can add photos and stories in even the most remote places without any wifi or data network. Whenever you have a good internet connection, just "sync" your trip and it will push up the new content to your trip's web page on everlater.com. Have no fear you Android and Blackberry users, while we don't have a native application for you (yet) you can email in stories and photos directly from your phone. I'd love to print my Everlater trip or turn it into a real book, can I?

Yep - glad you asked! Just visit the Everlater Bookstore to make your travel photo album.
