Great activity for kids who wake up early (6 a.m.) is to visit the tide pools on Biddeford Pool beach. Find the rocks just off shore that get exposed at low tide.

We pulled into Biddeford around 3:00 p.m., picked up the key to our house, and then right to the beach where the kids jumped out of the car and were in the freezing cold ocean in minutes.

Will & Jane rode the waves, and Anne played in the sand.

By 5:00, everyone was tired, so we went over to our rental house called "On the Rocks." It is spectacular. Since we first started coming here, we've walked by the house many times on our way to the beach. It sits right on the rocky shoreline, and just a block away from the sandy beach we love.

Weather today was great, and looks to stay that way during our entire visit.

Another lazy day at the beach, riding the huge waves, running on the beach, reading our books. 4:00 p.m. visit to the ice cream truck at the lifeguard stand.

We ended the day with 5:30 Mass at the catholic church so that we could enjoy our Sunday morning. Pork chops and pizza at home for dinner on the upper porch overlooking the ocean.
