After a slow start from Newton ("Off like a heard of turtles," said Annie as we left), we hit the road, passing over the Zakim and Tobin bridges giving us birdseye views of our old home in Charlestown, up Route 1 with a quick stop at Bertucci's for lunch, and then to the Maine Turnpike.
We listened to our old favorite David Gray on the way up, and made it to Biddeford Pool by mid-afternoon.
