Another glorious day in Biddeford Pool as the kids woke us up one-by-one from about 5:50 a.m. (Anne) through 6:30 a.m. (Will). We finished off the last of the eggs with the home-grown tomatoes from our neighbors in the form of scrambled eggs, tomatoes and toast.

While it was still cool, Will and dad went down to the beach for an early game of paddle at low tide, while the girls went out to the rocks for more seaglass. We all came together back at the house to pack up for our last few hours on the peaceful beach, in our chairs, under the umbrella, swimming, playing the sand.

And after a quick final lunch and pack of the car, we were off to the big city of Portland, staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on the waterfront. A quick swim in the pool, and dinner at nearby Betsy's diner before we found our seats at Hadlock Stadium to watch our favorite Portland Sea Dogs.

We arrived early to be sure we received five of the 1,000 Coke insulated lunch boxes being given away. That meant that we lasted only four innings before everyone was falling asleep. The Sea Dogs were ahead 6-1.

Can't beat it for value and action, particularly if you live in Boston
