Next it was all the way south to Jasenovac next to the Bosnian border. Jasenovac was a big concentration camp where 82,000 people were killed. The majority were Serbs but Jews and Romas were also executed). The spomenik, built in 1966, remembers those killed in the concentration camp. There is also a small museum at the site. We visited it and saw a single huge book with all 82,000 names of those killed in the camp. The visit was a very sobering time.
