The scenic route back to the QC with Ron at the wheel. Passed along the river most of the way, through places like Muscatine, Buffalo, Montpelier, and others. Love listening to family stories (lots of fam = lots of stories!), small-town histories, and the occasional tale of Laura as a kid.
Met Mary and Sandy for dinner at The Boat House, a seafood-type place on the water. Some reminiscing about the QC (Ron/Mary/Sandy/Clayton many more were born and raised, went to college here) mixed with good eats and a few cold beers. Views not bad either. A person could get spoiled with too much more of this.
Random factory type place along the river. Don't know what they do there, but like how it looks.
Stopped by the house my grandparents moved into once they left the country to live in the big city of Davenport

These grape Swisher Sweets were found in my aunt and mom's rental car. They gave them to my dad, but I don't think he gave them a whirl.
