After Cannon Beach, we moved on to Manzanita, OR. Spent a few minutes in T-Spot, a small, interesting (very random) shop specializing in knitting, teas, and chocolate. Run by a quirky Russian woman, who seemed to be endowed with superhuman hearing ability. As soon as we whispered to each other about the Michelle Obama bags, she said, “MI-shelle!” and then started in on a sales pitch. It didn’t work with the bags, but LVL did find a hat.

Next to San Dune Pub for a beer and a snack. The place is a bit sad, as the customers all seem like year-rounders (a species I find somewhat depressing, no matter the vacation town), some with bigger drinking problems that others. Staff very friendly. LVL notes that the bar feels like something you’d find in a Colorado mountain town. We eat our deep fried jalapeno slices in peace and hit the road.
