I've been a little lazy about blogging our last days in France. We had such a fabulous trip together. The last days in Paris were mixed. Filled with ups and downs.
The highs were going to Versailles, walking around Montmartre and the last little cafe we sat and ate croque monsieur (frank therion's was better) and drinking mojitos.
The lows were mostly a result of the Millenium hotel and it's superbly misinformed staff. It reminded me of the Parisian reputation for purposely giving out bad information. Maybe they'd rather give out bad info than say they don't know...who knows. But it was a true hotel debacle of catastrophic proportions.
We tried in earnest to go to a Bikram class, but like every French website, the schedule wasn't updated and we arrived to late to take the last class of the day.
We enjoyed walking in the rain, our only real rain of the trip and circling Pompidou, though mom didn't want to go in. I think we were both ready to start the journey back home.

Aweful! I mean, the room was nice but the staff was so uninformed about everything! What hotel consierge doesn't know where Versaille is (and sends tourists to a location 2 hours out of the way??)Do not stay at this hotel! Ever! Of if you do, don't ask the staff for anything...not even extra towels.
