The rooms were nice, noise didn't bother me. It's in a great location, and the rooms were inexpensive.

Prado was great, we had a tour of some of the most important pieces from El Greco, Diego Velázquez, & Francisco de Goya.

The Metro is always busy, but a very efficient, fast & cheap way to get around. We took the metro for a few trips, and it's fine. Just remember - KEEP your ticket with you while you're on the train, just in case the authorities check. Unfortunately, my friend didn't realize the ticket pops up after you put it in the machine to enter the station, and it just so happened they were checking tickets at the next stop :( Fee of 20 euros - for a fare that only cost 1 euro :(

It was yummy, but pricy. We didn't know what to order - ended up getting the wrinkled potatoes. There were TONS - this is definitely supposed to be one of those tapas you share, yet we each (3) got one. Each one came with about TEN potatoes! It was crazy, we couldn't eat it all. The entire time we laughed because the waiters couldn't believe we ordered that. Oh yeah, and the waiters are really really handsome :)

In Spain, and some other European countries, if you simply order water, they will bring you bottled water that is always pricey - sometimes upwards of 3 euros! The agua is safe to drink in Spain, so ask for a "vaso" de agua, and they'll bring you cold tap water, which is just as great as bottled water and they don't charge you for it!!

This is one of the most well known and busiest areas in Madrid. It is the heart of Madrid, and there's a lot to see and do.
