It was a great way to see the city highlights. Definitely something to do if you only have a few days in the city.

It was a fun boat ride and hike up the hill. Plus, it was cool to learn all about the Greenwich Mean Time. This was a great tour.

We had fish and chips. I don't remember how good they were, so I'm guessing they weren't amazing or anything.

Everything is new.
This morning I woke up as if I had really fallen asleep, very early. I suppose it was about 3:30am based on the lack of light outside.
As I stared through the crack between the window coverings at a light left on in a neighboring building, I am excited. Everything from here on is new.
Wednesday evening we finished packing our home into a 10 foot by 10 foot storage unit east of La Jolla, CA. Flying out of LAX at 8:45pm, we headed for London. We arrived at 2:45pm local time and took the subway (tubes) to Victoria Station. A short walk later and we were checking in at our temporary home - The Elizabeth House. For the next few days, our homes are on our backs.
This morning I woke up to doves singing and great excitement to be here. I even started reading a book, something I haven't done in a long time. This journal is another beginning. Our digital lives came to a screeching halt since landing at Heathrow because our phone service doesn't cover us here. I have occasional connectivity with the lounge wifi, but it's almost nice to be unteathered. We will see how long that lasts.
Today is the generic London tour. Off we go.

Well this day was a whirlwind of sight seeing. In all we took a real double decker bus and a boat tour down the River Thames. Great sites everywhere. Great photos too.
The evening was capped off with a play - Les Misérables. Now I have completely enjoyed London and am completely beat. I think "jet lag" caught up with me again today (I slept the first day completely, which Tilly told me was a terrible idea, and I should have listened to her).
Tomorrow is simply the London Tower, perhaps the changing of the guards and relaxed strolls.

Old and tired. Definitely wasn't up to the traditional standard in the U.S.. But, it was centrally located, and we didn't care one bit about how hard those beds were.

Because you can see all the touristy scenes in one day. Get it all done quickly so you can enjoy the rest of your time in areas you are most interested.
