The place I called home for more than a decade, Seattle is a city in constant change. Walking the same bock just a few months removed from a previous visit and it can look entirely different. For me, this trip was the first I've taken since the sale of my condo and with that, an entirely different sensation upon arrival and throughout my stay.

Several parts of town have transformed by significant amounts relative to the two years prior the last I lived there. My familiarity certainly made for some unique shooting opportunities yet with all of the new architecture both in buildings and landscape, it was so unfamiliar and rewarding at the same time.

I was once again blessed with great weather with the exception of Saturday, a day that shall go down in my life history FOREVER. With the rain, and the opportunity, I was able to catch my University of Washington Huskies triumph over the not-so-mighty USC Trojans!

Alright, so back to why I was here. There are an unbelievable amount of mid and high rise housing projects that have gone up. Some might argue their economic viability and why they happened in the first place but for me there's nothing wrong with density and as a whole they are done well. They will eventually get occupied, for now however many remain mostly EMPTY.

The introduction of the light rail and trolley system is a very small step in the right direction for Seattle but they are still very painfully behind with regard to mass transit. From my perspective they are solely used by tourists and not used much yet. In the end, my picture taking took me to some new and old stomping grounds, a great trip aided by my friends Erica & John, Ryan, and Brando.
