Dear Everlater Community,

Everlater is now part of MapQuest. For the last few years MapQuest has been quietly laying the groundwork to expand beyond their core offering into the wide world of travel. We have been watching their transformation and are excited that we will be joining them to help build the future of travel online.

We are convinced that Everlater is in good hands with MapQuest because of the amazing team, vision and ambitious product roadmap and our shared passion for travel. Today, a beta version of MapQuest Discover launched at the PhoCusWright travel conference. It shows off the first phase of the evolution of MapQuest to include travel inspiration, planning and sharing.

We will remain one of the best places to document your travel experiences. You can still journal and share all of your existing stories and photos. In addition to ongoing improvements, we plan to integrate Everlater journals into the MapQuest ecosystem. The result should be an even better and more comprehensive travel journaling experience and more features from MapQuest’s exciting new travel platform.

When we started four years ago in Natty’s parent's basement, we had no idea what was going to happen, but we had a simple goal: be the best place to share and discover travel experiences on the internet. We’re lucky that we get to continue that mission with a company that shares that vision. So keep driving from London to Sydney, taking cruises through Nunavut or biking through Norway. Our promise to you is that as part of MapQuest we’ll continue in our mission to build the best way to discover and share travel experiences.

Happy travels and thank you,

Nate & Natty on behalf of the Everlater family
