our friends Abby and Alex went in a submarine off the neighbouring island of Roatan.
Not so much a submarine as a home-made submersible. An American inventor called Karl Stanley builds these submersibles and captains them to the bottom of the ocean so that you can watch rare six-gill sharks ravage a pig's head tied just above the bug-eyed windscreen.
They said it was a highlight of their trip but it does cost big bucks.
