we stopped en-route to Alice Springs to visit the Tropic of Capricorn.
which is also known as the Southern tropic. It marks the most southerly latitude at which the Sun can appear directly overhead

We had a day to spend in Alice Springs and most of us didn't go near any tourist attractions. We found a good cafe for breakfast (sausage and beans), with wifi and spent the majority of the day there.
I have had a few mishaps with head torches along the way so I needed a 5th one which I found. Also met a huge dog that weighed 75kgs!!
We had the second campsite of the trip so had opportunities for showers and to charge up all our electronic equipment.
I had a shower and in my absence Joe and Bui had picked up my tent and hid it! some times a standalone tent isn't a good option.
