slept in the grounds of a hotel, there was a really bad sandstorm which blew a few tents over. I now have the truck tent and luckily it survived the weather. A few of us ended up walking to the hotel for tea, we were all covered in sand and dust. I even looked like I had a tan!

After a baking hot night, sweltering in the tent that didn't get below 30 degrees we are now experiencing hailstones in Iran! Hopefully they will freshen us all up

we are getting close to the Iran/Pakistan border now so we have to have police escorts most of the way today. We are really close to the Opium Trail.
