Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

We did a short walking tour of the city today and ended up at the War museum. Not a feel good place to visit but it was something we felt had to be done. It was extremely upsetting to see the conditions Vietnamese POWs were kept in and what torture they were subjected to. Barbaric!! There were also hundreds of photos taken during the war and information on the orange agent used in the war. I struggle to understand how human beings can perform these atrocities on each other, it is heartbreaking. After the sights we saw at the killing fields and S21 I think I need to go and have some fun. Our next location is by the ocean and I am really looking forward to spending time there.

A large group of us went out for what should have been a relatively quiet night, just a meal and a couple of drinks but we ended up being out until around 4am. Had a nice Italian meal, watched the England/Wales friendly rugby match on the TV as I kept track of Scotland and Ireland by the wonders of the web.(So pleased that Scotland won :D) Then went back to a bar near our hotels called Godmothers. (So pleased that Scotland won :D)
A very late finish but it was a really good night

went to the Sheraton towers tonight as they have a bar on the 23rd floor. We had amazing views over the city at night plus a couple of lovely cocktails. Had a lovely meal in a nearby restaurant too.
