We went to the Genocide museum and Killing Fields today. It was heartbreaking to see where thousands of people were imprisoned, tortured and killed in such horrific and barbaric ways. Men, women and children were killed during the mid to late 1970s under Pol Pots regime. I only took one photograph, a sign that listed instructions to prisoners during imprisonment. Anything more felt disrespectful.
I have had plenty of time to think about a multitude of things during this trip and there is one thing that frequently pops into my mind during the different countries I have travelled through.... I am so grateful that I was born in the UK. In so may countries it is the women who have the long days of physical work when the men seem to sit about drinking tea. And after visiting the killing fields I am so grateful for the life I have had. While I was growing up in the 1970s, children my age where being slaughtered in Cambodia for no feasible reason I can work out.

Night out tonight and a wonderful restaurant called Friends, it is a teaching opportunity for street kids to learn about the restaurant trade. The food was amazing, easily one of the best meals I have had on this trip. I also had a raspberry and lime daiquiri, gorgeous.
After the meal we went to a pub quiz that was being held in an Irish bar around the corner. We split into two teams and my team came third. We weren't too disappointed in not winning, we beat the other uktooz team which was what really mattered
