We got to see the amazing Uluru today. It is stunning and well worth a visit.
We had a walk around the base today with Dee, Any, Bui, Rosie, Kev and Pete. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue..loved it.

After the walk we set off to the sunset viewing point, and watched the sun setting over Uluru The colours change on the rock, another stunning sight.

we had our evening meal at the sunset viewing point, there were a lot of groups who are definitely travelling in more luxury than us. Champagne corks were popping, BBQs cooking steaks and we had warm water and salad :(
I still loved the whole experience though!!

we camped out in the bush, about 10kms from Uluru. The elastic in one of my tent poles snapped so as the weather was hot and still I decided to sleep under the stars. The sky is amazing at night, there is no light pollution so you can see everything at it's best.

during the trip on the bus this morning a wild camel ran out in front of us. It continued to run along the road for 20-30 metres before heading back into the bush. point to note, humps wobble under speed!

A very early start this morning, up around 4am to get into the park for 5. Me, Andy, Kev and Lynne decided to attempt to climb Uluru while the rest of the group watched the sunrise.
Unfortunately it was pretty windy so the climb wasn't open, yesterday when we where there the climb was shut due to the heat.
