From Okayama to Kōchi with limited stops.

A nice four car diesel decked out like a coach. A pretty handy machine, minces along at over 150km/h in the straights and makes short work of the hills.

And hills there were! After crossing a huge bridge to Shikoku Island we cruised along valleys, under cliffs, snaking beside rivers and blasted through tunnels.

Arrived on time to the minute over a 2 hour trip.

The days travel would have cost the average Japanese punter over $250AUD ... The Japan Rail Pass is very quickly paying for itself!
