Buying map books at the Kinokuniya bookstore..

There are 9 floors of books!

Shobunsha bilingual road atlas is much better than the Kodansha version, but still not comprehensive enough for where we wanna go..

So we bought a Shikoku 'Super Mapple' which should do the trick, only drama is its in Japanese! Better brush up on my pattern recognition...

A quick trip into Shibuya to test our train skills for tomorrow.

Shinjuku station at 5pm on a Friday... I believe the figures now, that station averages something like 740,000 people a day!

Japan Railways are a true delight though. Fast, immaculate and perfectly on time.

Why is it that Australia cannot have decent rail. It's about time the various state rail authorities got together to improve the traveller's lot. Sorry I forgot I live in Australia & each state does its own thing!
