I took Bart out to Berkeley to meet Nate and Natty, and we drove down to Mountainview to the Microsoft campus to check out the room and practice tomorrow's pitches.
We arrived early, and while killing time ran into a huge Techstars crew: Andrew Hyde, Mark & Todd from Vanilla, and Ari from Filtrbox. It was great to see them, though it always feels a bit weird hanging out in another city with a group of people from your hometown. Or is that just me?
After driving around Microsoft for far to long, we eventually found where we were supposed to go (after talking a lot of shit from our high and mighty startup soapbox about how we hate office parks). It was great to catch up with the Boulder teams we hadn't seen in a few weeks and to meet some of the Boston teams (as well as getting a sneak peek at their pitches).
The room was surprisingly small - nothing like the 700 seat venue in Boulder. Still, we're all pretty excited...tomorrow has been on our calendars since May.
Everlater is presenting at the Techstars Investor Day to wrap up our exhilarating summer in the startup world...
This will be interesting. I've been to San Francisco many times before, but never for more than 24 hours. Instead of orbiting around to the surrounding cities, I'll be spending most of the week in the city proper.
