Starting to pack up my apartment. Taking full advantage of all the free boxes at work. Trying to downsize as I go. I guess it's time to part with the soccer trophies from my younger days.

Ran across my collection of cassette tapes. I realize some of you reading this have no idea what a cassette tape is. Anyone remember "After 7"? The younger generations are lacking the skills of making a mixed tape directly from the radio without getting the DJ's voice on the tape. I was able to get some of the songs via iTunes, but kept most of the cassettes. Just can't part with some things.

With the clock winding down to my depature date it's important that I make the most of each day. A key thing that is keeping me organized are Post-it notes. In a time when smart phones try to outdo each other and we feel lost without them, I think we would really be lost without our little sticky notes.

In between packing try to get a good handle on getting this blog so that I can share the address with family and friends. Having some issues adding photos directly from my camera. I'll need to stop by the local preschool so the kids can help me figure this out.

Got my first set of shots, luckly no side effects yet. Also got a bag full of drugs, which should make going through the various customs interesting. After reading some of the side affects I might just be better off taking my chances with the various illnesses. I mean really I've made this far in life without having any hallucingenic episodes, why start now.

Day 2 without my blackberry, every hour gets a little easier. They really should make a patch for this.

Finally got my haircut! Bad news is I went from 5'4" to 5'2", good news is I dropped those last 5 lbs. Hopefully this will last me the next 10 months.

Drove to LA to take my car to my older sister, what a boring ride. You know you've reached LA when you stop seeing the beautiful green hills and start seeing brown mountains.
