As I wrote back in January: twitter.com/scott_travel/status/7533399424 Sarajevo clings dearly to the memory of the '84 Winter Olympics. It's a huge source of pride for them and serves as a beacon to which they hope to someday return.

Amazing. Minced meat sausages served with a side of grilled onions and cream cheese.

Quaint little museum dedicated to the tunnel that connected the city with the UN presence at the airport during the siege.

Bobsled Track

The remains of the old bobsled course on the Serbian side of the city. Miles and miles of concrete half-pipes. This once serviced as a trench / front-line during the war.

Olympic Museum

The pride and joy of Sarajevo… 1984 Winter Olympics. A nicely done museum on the site of the Olypmic complex. Employees seemed very pleased that Americans had travelled there.

Bus to Mostar

One of the more scenic routes on this trip. Massive lakes on the right and imposing mountains on the left. Just a little over 2hrs to reach Mostar.

Haris has set-up a great hostel. He offers tours of the city that he knows like the back of his hand. Great vibe, met tons of great people while staying here.

Haris' tour offers you a great way to see tons of interesting places, without having to figure out the transportation, as you zigzag your way across the city. See the Sarajevo tunnel, the bobsled track from '84 winter Olympics, and munch on some great Ćevapi.

Sarajevo is an amazing town. Had there been snow, I would have taken advantage of all the local ski parks. The people were generally very friendly and the city was very interesting to wander through.
