For the first time in a few days, it wasn't pizza. Ate sausages and potatoes. Located in the lower floor of a building, the interior was all exposed brick that created a warm and welcoming ambiance.

Wandered the narrow streets. Climbed the St. Duje's cathedral tower in the middle which provided a sweeping view of Split.

Ferry to Supetar

A particularly rainy day, we took a ferry out to a nearby island. Maybe not the best idea as it was pretty deserted in January. Seems most of the locals migrate inland during the winter months for work. Enjoyed a hot beverage and then hiked around the town trying to find a trail that would lead to a church on the hill. Never did find the trail entrance so we decided to take an earlier ferry back rather than wind up stranded on the island for several more hours.

Loooonnng. Make sure you have Bosnian currency before you leave so you might be able to pay for restroom privileges or snacks at stops on the 8 hr. journey.

Great staff, central location.

Decisively Italian/Venetian feel to this town. Not surprising considering that the Venetians ruled for hundreds of years, not to mention the Romans' rule in Antiquity
