Prague Marathon?!?!
May 11

I can't believe I gave up on my marathon training. Had I kept up my weekly mileage goals, I would have been able to run in today's 26.2 mile tour through the city!! Sadly, a pre-race meal of beer and sausage was not idea for getting up early and going on this run. It really is too bad, because today was the perfect marathon-running day.

Running in Prague: Watch out for . . . .
May 12

This is one beautiful city, but it is an absolutely impossible place to run. Stare Mesto and the downtown area is cobblestone-ridden, and even if they weren't, the crowds are comparable to those exiting a college football game. If you want to go for a run in this city, you are going to need a good strategy.

Tips
Run, Write, Recluse.
Run in Letna Gardens. Write with the passion of Kafka. Try to avoid the crowds if you can.
Activities

Hrcadny

Prague's castle structure is absolutely beautiful.

Jewish Prague

Fantastically old synagogues, twisted gravestones and an ancient cemetery. A great place to rediscover my heritage.

Alberto Mucha Museum

I hadn't intended to go here, but it was a treat to wander among the dreamy female figures of this artist.

Franz Kafka Museum

A pilgrimage for anyone who's ever read this great writer's work. This was my favorite thing in Prague - wandering through the twisted exhibits was a Kafkaesque experience in itself.
Thoughts
Wow. This city has been discovered.
