The last time I'd seen Myra was at Lenningradsky Vokzal on a May midnight. I was leaving my dorm neighbor, ice skating partner, walking buddy, hummus chef, and writing partner-in-arms for good, and it was a sad evening. But as this road trip took shape, I realized that I'd have a chance to catch up with at least this person from my recent past! So at a random cafe in a random town just outside of Chicago, Myra joined my sister and I for a quick road lunch. There was much to catch up on - reunions with loved ones in the States, culture shock, plans for the future. But more than anything, it was a great reunion with a great friend.
