A heartwarming fishing moment - Aaron with his fly rod, Maggie with a spinner rod, and Lucy with her homemade stick fishing rod.

We met up with the West SeAtwells in Missoula, then after a quick shop, drove up to Harry's Flat campgroud (18 sites!). The road was a bit dicey with the trailer, but we made it. The eight of us are all just hanging out at the site which is right on the Rock Creek. We have a few fishers, a couple kids playing cards, some readers, and an elaborate dramatic play scenario revolving around tree and water conservation.

So we were all ready for an adventure and driving to a lake when we were slowed to a halt by a flat tire. 30 minutes from the nearest town, the men of the group put on the spare while the women and kids lounged around and watched Evan dance and lip sync. We made it to the nearest town, Philipsberg, and tried with all our might to get the tire fixed, but to no avail. But a strong shout out the all the folks at the Philipsberg library who did all they could to help us out. We are now driving at breakneck speed ( or as fast as you can go with a spare) to Missoula to buy a set of 4 winter tires because no one has a regular tire that will fit - drat this LR3 with fancy tires!
