Termos!

Nopeat välikuulumiset retkikunnan reitin toistaiseksi eteläisimmästä kolkasta, Kuala Lumbuurista. Ville on nuhakuumeessa liian tehokkaan ilmastoinnin seurauksena, Pate ja Petteri etsivät täytekakkua germaanitytön synttärikemuja varten. Lämpötila on 35 asteen huitteilla ja kosteusprosentti on siinä ysikympin tietämillä.

Kuvia ja huikeita stooreja seuraa ennen pitkää, kunhan grouppi saadaan taas täysilukuiseksi.

Kameramiehen puolesta oikein hyvää!

Olen edelleen ministi taudin kourissa, mutta nyt on viimeinen hetki parantua ennen iilimatoviidakkoa, jonne muuten lähdetään huomenna.

Eilen freedaagina käytiin The Entrapment -leffastakin tutussa Petronas Twin Towerissa, pitkänhuiskeassa öljymogulien päämajassa, kenties Kuoliksen pahimmassa turistirysässä.

Tärkeimmät elementit olivat kuitenkin oikeilla paikoillaan, kuten kuvista voidaan todeta.

Yeah, first I have to apologise for the bad english. Writing even remotely funny stuff in english isn't really one of my strong points, but it was requested by the germans so here goes.

After the Petronas Twin Tower insident, we wen't back to the hostel to freshen up, which meant that the girls got their nice dresses, and the guys - well - we just took our usual travel clothes. Except for me, who had the benefit of a brand new pair of black flipflops for the occasion. Sami and June had instructed us about the price levels of drinks in KL, so we kinda started the evening by tasting a bit enhanced fruit juice during dinner.

The actual destination for the evening was the Luna Bar in top floor of the Pan Pacific Regency Hotel, where Theresa had made a reservation for 9pm. We arrived to the hotel around nine, and Celine finally started to have some kind of idea what we had in store for her. She had been a bit sleepy in the afternoon, but seemed to brighten up when she found out where we were going.

The next obstacle was the dresscode. When making the reservation, Theresa had asked about the dresscode, which was told to be casual. Even Sami and June had said that shorts and sandals would be ok. This proved out not to be the case. When we got the the bar entrance, the bouncer kindly announced us that indeed, shorts and flipflops are not considered "casual". We started to explain the situation with the information we were given, and that we have a reservation etc. At one point I thought about the possibility of bribes, but fortunately the situation was resolved without that. Our shoes were ok'd I managed to roll my pant legs down. Petteri and Ville were required to wear some kind of black make-do pants, which were too small for Ville, who managed to sneak in with his normal pants.

We finally got inside, and from then on the night went on pretty well. The Luna bar really is a great place to have parties (thanks for the tip, Sami and June), the view over the nighttime Kuala Kumpur with the illuminated Petronas Towers on the background and the big swimming pool in the bar make for a really cool place. We spent couple of hours playing some pretty funny drinking games the girls had learned in Dala. Celines birthday is the 12th of December, so at midnight, the cake was brought in and we sung the happy birthdays. The rest of the night was dedicated to dancing, starting with rather ill placed Shewolf. :)

All in all, I think everybody had a good time, and we managed to throw a decent birthday party for Celine. It's really nice feeling to just arrange something special for someone else, just to make that person happy, and the birthday is the perfect excuse.

The next morning we had a nice breakfast with some Nutella Theresa had insisted bying. Have to say that the germans have really odd notions concerning breakfast! Like Nutella on top of chocolate-raisin bread. We'll when in Rome etc. it was their party so it's their treat.

Thats all for now, and for the last time, Happy Birthday Celine!
