The Base is home to 70 highly skilled, experienced wildland
firefighters committed to providing high quality professional fire
management services for the protection of natural resources
throughout the United States. Throughout the summer the base
is open for public tours. Extent of the tour depends on the current fire activity. Daily summer tours begin at 11:30 and 2:30.

This quaint mountain town is full of life during the winter and
summer months. In the winter people take advantage of the
perfect landscape for snowmobiling, skiing and boarding at
Brundage Mountain. McCall’s Winter Carnival is an experience to be had, view impressive snow sculptures and fun events for the whole family. In the summer, scenic Payette Lake is the hot spot.
