Mudgy Moose and Millie the Mouse are storybook characters
created by Coeur d’Alene author Susan Nipp. The popular book
about Mudgy wandering the shores of the lake and through the
city, looking for Millie, was the inspiration for Mudgy & Millie Trail.
To accompany the book, the town of Coeur d’Alene has commissioned
five life-size bronze statues of Mudgy and Millie, placed at
strategic points along Mudgy’s route—now officially christened
the Mudgy Moose Trail. There are signs to guide you as you follow
the 2-1/4 mile trail.
